The article was in Fly Rod & Reel (2 issues ago I believe) on Maine's char including pics of Arctic char from Maine, as well as depictions of Blueback and Sunapee trout (char.) I guess one could confuse them with brookies at first glance, but it seemed there were some rather evident distinguishing characteristics between that upon closer look from an experienced angler would be make them harder to confuse for a brookie. The Maine arctic char in the pics actually looked a bit like dark brookies (to a point) but one thing I noticed was that the spots were white and lacked blue rings around them.
