landed this nice 10" brookie last night, from a nearby brook that's about 2 feet wide, and 3 feet deep, full of old bikes and household trash. Saw my neighbor come out of the swamp nearby 30 years ago, with a limit of trout, and went back this year to give it a try. Tons of 5-6" fish, willing to hit anything you can get in front of them. Knew there had to be something a bit bigger in there, and finally found it. This fish actually took some drag on me, in the only sizeable pool on the brook. Not the best pic, but the fish was fairly worn out, so I got him back in the water quick as I could. All these fish are gorging on something, chunky bellies on all of them. Starting to see some action on top, hoping to switch to dries soon
