I fished 3 small streams in Eastern CT today, and fished hard. The first stream produced nothing. I fished streamers, and nymphs. The second stream after many casts finally produced a hit on a streamer. Moving from pool to pool I saw many trout slash at the streamer but no takes. Then while fishing a nymph I took the first, and as it turned out only trout of the day, a nice wild brown. It was a beautiful day, air temps 45, and the water temp 38.
