| Wild brookies on the dry fly I was able to get out for a few hours on a small wild trout stream today. I fished my 3wt cane rod and dry flies. The stream was low and clear, and the water temp was 46 degrees. I fished for 20 minutes or so before the first trout rose, and missed. This played out a few times before my first hookup. He was on for awhile before departing. The action lasted for a brief time. I did manage to get a pic of a brookie as he shook the fly and was trying to get his bearings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
