| Got Brookies? pics. CT's trout season opened today and I went down to watch the show for awhile. To many anglers and beat up fish, I needed some solitude and quiet, and I found it. A small stream full of wild brookies. The stream recovered well from the rains and was low and clear, water temps in the high forties. No surface activity as of yet. Put on a streamer size 10 and found the trout very willing to eat it. The plunge pools and tails of riffles the better areas to fish. Hope you like the quiet and solitude as I did.
