My remote Alaska trip

Last August I decided to try a lodge after many self guided trips in the bush which were great but this time I wanted to let someone else do all the work and did they. I had a beautiful short flight in and a great boat ride to the lodge, they made us feel comfortable and took us to the fish and thats what I wanted.

The bow's were awsome and we hooked into them fairly steady we also had some nice Grayling hooked up and like so much of Alaska we found lots of big Northern Pike which I'm telling you is spectacular on a fly!

We arrived on a Sunday and left I think around 1pm on Friday and during that time we connected with some really nice Kings, lots of Pinks and Chums and a few Silvers were starting to come up also.

I would have to say that the lodge experience was great, better than I thought it would be but I do still miss all the hiking trips in the bush with my fishing buddy Dan, we always have a blast fly fishing. If your thinking of doing an Alaska trip there are many great lodges in Alaska the one we chose is Alaskan Adventures & Oufittters I think its
ALASKAN ADVENTURES & OUTFITTERS, Alaska Fly Fishing adventure they actually used some of our pictures on their site oh and ask but sometimes they have special pricing on their trips. I almost forgot the Alexander Creek is about 30 or 40 miles long I cant remember but they were the only fly fishing outfit on the river so it was nice and peaceful.
Good luck in 07!
