Why do we fish for this beautiful creature?
I fish for trout beause its so amazing the way they can feed on these little flies, the way you see their heads bobbing up and down eating their hatch of the day.

I like the places they live and I don't have to use bait.
I think the stream environment really is the first thing that got me hooked on trout. Its cool seeing fish in shallow, clear water, and its also cool how u read water current to fish to trout effectively. I also think the puzzle trout fishing presents is a great thing. Other fishing in my experience does not present the same level of technical understanding that trout fishing does. Figuring out the insect, stage, and being able to present that pattern effectively is tough to do, and thats why it doesn't get old. I've actually come to enjoy difficult fishing over the years, and also find myself getting bored on streams where 20 fish a day is the norm. Its all about working for what your catching and confirming that your knowledge, intuition, and skill were enough to trick an animal in its own environment. Lastly, few fish are better looking and more rewarding to look at after a good fight.
