| Fishing Report SBR and BFB I fished the BFB monday from 9 A/M until dark. The water was slightly off color. I started at the lower end and caught 4 trout and a decent sized small mouth just above the falls at the USGS water meter. After lunch i went into the lower end of the fly area and walk from the rifle range to the bridge below that. I caught another 5 trout one was around 16 inches. I then finished the night at Haney's Mill catching another 5 trout. All were caught on brown or olive and black wholloy buggers.
This morning I went to the South Branch in Neshanic and caught 14 trout. All were brown but one. That was a rainbow. The color of the day was yellow. The rainbow was caught on a yellow stone fly and the rest on yellow whooly buggers. I spent approx 2 hours fishing until the rain started to come down to hard. The water again was slightly off color. I also had the entire stream to myself.
The best part of the NJ Trout season is here get out and catch some fish.
