Fly box to keep spey flies

I have a about 6 of those double nubby fly boxes.



The double sided nubby boxes do provide enough
clearance to hold marabou, hair wing, and spey
flies.

You can also carry smaller egg patterns, one draw back
comes with holding the smaller hooks for this medium box.



I have a few purchased from Malinda's Fly Shop
in Altmar, the rest of my nubby boxes come from
none other than LL Bean.




The other down side to the nubby, they can easily fall
out in time. Nothing worse than to open a fly box on the
river and have a bunch of flies loose in there.

The micro-slit foam on both sides hold the flies in position.
Each side also has a clear plastic lid so you can see what
flies are on what side. One feature that I really like is the
long double latch which secures it almost the full length of
the box. If you notice the black "O" ring around the inside
of the box seals it making it water tight.



The lid is high enough not only for your spey and wing flies.
