Cabelas in NJ

The state of NJ is a sad state of affairs when it comes to sporting goods and sportsmen. You can go across the boarder and visit Cabelas....and handle 300 used guns aon the racks. Not to mention any new one you want to see behind the counter. In a store....and unloaded. But for some reason in NJ, we are not allowed to even handle a firearm over the counter to LOOK AT....without a firearms purchase permit. NJ doesn't deserve a Cabelas.....or a Gander Mt....or a Bass Pro. I've hunted in 10 states over 34 licensed seasons, and served 14 yrs of active duty. But now since relocating to NJ, I am suddenly unable to ask to even hold a firearm in a Dicks Sporting goods?????? That includes BB GUN!!!! Give me a break. The state is run by a bunch of morons. Welcome to the peoples republic. I'm surprised fish hooks aren't kept behind the counter under glass, lock & key.....to avoid a dangerous accident. They're pretty pointy you know.
