Tips For a Total beginner

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for tips on fly fishing a couple of rivers (and fly fishing in general). I'm planning on fishing some rivers close to me and even a pond with privately stocked trout, but quite honestly I have no clue what I'm doing, and have only caught 6 trout on a fly in the past year or so. I know that the temperature and everything changes the fishing and different seasons have different hatches but anyway are there any flys I should get for my fly box? I will mostly be fishing year round except for dead winter. I'm planning on fishing the pequest, muskenetcong, SBR, and BFB but as my backups I have rivers that are a little closer to home: Whippany River, Rockaway River, Saddle River, and Pequannock River. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I know how to fly fish bass, but ever since my first trout ive been addicted and have been itching to learn more.
