Not Ranked : 0 Tricos on NJ Streams? I am a 25 year flyfisherman. I just bought Matt Grobert's book Fly Fishing NJ Trout Streams. When I read page 21 that the Trico hatch is as good on The Big Flatbrook as anywhere in the East I did a double take. Are these fishable hatches where the trout actually are on the spinners as say The central PA limestone streams or even the Little Lehigh? These PA hatches are the reason guys drive 4 hrs because there are literally clouds of Tricos every am well into Sept.and the fish are on them each day in numbers. Is it really like that on the Flatbrook? I don't think so. Would like to hear feedback from others. Mal |
