Another Sorry To Report Thread

Upon visiting Ray's Sport Shop today 2/25/04, I learned that Les Shannon passed away, apparently of stomach cancer. His fly shop located in Califon N.J. was the first shop that I was introduced to flyfishing back in 1976. Whenever I was going to fish The Ken Lockwood Gorge, I would stop in to find out what was happening on the South Branch by picking Les's brain. He probably was the #1 authority on that particular stream being that he had been in that location, for what seems forever. Probably alot of the people that use this site knew or at least heard of him and his shop on the South Branch of the Raritan. May he rest in peace.
