Hey all, going to head out to the ramapo river up in mawah/north jersey today because of the beautiful weather. Just wondering if the 50 degree weather will cause much surface action? Maybe some hatches will float to the top or insects will be falling on top of the water? Although the trout are lathargic in winter i was going to see your opinions on surface fishing. Any insects going to be sitting on the surface because of the warm weather? Or should i just go beadhead nymph or streamer / indicator? ^probably going to do that.
Thanks, ts.
