Well...the BFB is up from half a trickle to a full trickle and the water temp is down to 58. Many of the pools have a good flow at this time.
Hit a number of spots today from 206 down to Flatbrookville. Still plenty of breeders left if you want to hunt for them. Managed to get a few bows on drys, but the breeders are chasing the holdovers all over the place, making it difficult to get them to rise. I guess the breeders are staking their territories.
Sad to see 4 dead breeders on the bottom and about a dozen swimming around with flies in places other then their mouths. Sure does make them easy to spot.
There were a variety of flies on the water today. Saw some brown caddis', midges, tiny BWOs, and some small brown flying ants.
Had a black bear sit down across the stream from me and watch me for about 5 minutes. I wonder what he was thinking. Never have a camera when I need one.
Leaves are changing quickly now, it's a beautiful site.
All in all, a great day on the BFB.
