| Stanton Station Fished the Stanton Station stretch of the SBR tonight for the first time. I've always zipped right past it headed further north. Really enjoyed the fishing. Didn't think much of the spot when I got there. Seemed slow and shallow. BUt there seemed to be plenty of trout downstream from teh bridge. An added bonus was that they all had two fins and fought well. My buddy even got a little 5 inch wild brown complete with parr marks. I was just wondering if anyone fishes this area and has any helpful hints. We were nymphing, but I don't know if that's the most effective method in that stretch. Thanks guys.  |
