Rod choice

Hey guys,
my wife wants to buy me a new rod.....I currently have a 6 wt Z-axis (love it for my lake) a 9' 5 wt winston vapor (my first rod) and an 8 wt TFO for salt and steelhead but I am trying to find a rod for Jersey. I do not do WTS or any tiny brooks I mainly fish the rockway, muskie, KLG and pequest when I fish. I really like the feel of the BIIX and am interested in the 4 wt however I am trying to figure out what rod length, would you get the 8', 8'6 or 9. I love to fish dry-flies but unfortunately most of my time is spent nymphing when I fish these rivers. Any suggestions appreciated.
