| Weekend report Saturday was unfortunately busier than expected so I was only able to get out for two hours before dark. Even more unfortunate was the sewer-like smell that the river(Wanaque) was giving off. I left only an hour into fishing without catching anything. I fished a WTS on Sunday for another couple of hours. I actually saw a fish steadily rising to something in one of the larger pools(pic below). I've never seen that in December. I put on a small caddis, but the fish wasn't interrested. After a couple of drifts, I dropped a #22 midge larva off the caddis.....he took the larva on the first drift. Not a big fish at all, but at least not a skunking. Monday I fished the gorge from about 8am till 2pm and caught nothing. I spoke to many flyfishermen who also had the same results. No fish, but a nice day anyway. I'll be visiting PA tomorrow, and making the long drive up to Pulaski for the first time early Thursday morning. Reports will follow...... ![]() ![]()
