Stop the lawyers, the lake is now full once again. Last Sunday the trouble makers suing the DEP and State Park employee Helen Maurella held a rally to convince more folks to join their cause to sue the DEP and get the dam at Lake Hopatcong closed in a futile attempt to fill the lake. Closing of the dam would have done untold harm to the upper Musconetcong River.

What's happening at the Lake this Sunday, you ask? Water will be spilling over the dam - the very same dam that a handful of lake area business owners want closed off so that the lake can refill. I personally hope that they forget to drop their lawsuit so that I can watch the judge ask why he should issue an injunction to close a dam whose spillway is topping over
