We began final removal of the Gruendyke Dam on the Musconetcong River yesterday. We believe that we will have the full dam removed next Monday or Tuesday along with the beginnings of the two stone weirs that need to be placed in the river.
On Wednesday the 25th, I need as many volunteers as I can get - TU or otherwise - to help remove tires and metal debris that we have found buried in the sediment upstream of the dam. We will have a bulldozer and a steel cable for the entrenched items and just our strong backs for the tires that have moved downtstream from that location. Please plan to meet at the Pump House Restaurant at 8 a.m. (or whenever you can get there) on Wed. the 25th and bring waders and gloves if you can help out. Also, please reply here or PM me if you can help so I know if I am reaching anyone on this site. It is okay if you "just show up", but I need to plan for possible additional dates as the site above the old dam is a real mess

.
Thanks in advance for any help I can drum up on such short notice during a typical work day!!!
