What makes a Trout WILD? Over the years I have heard people say that was a stock trout or that was a wild trout. And many even get to the point that , this is a holdover from last year, or even two year holdovers.
So when does a stock trout start to act like and live the life of a wild trout? I mean do you think this is a week long thing, or is it many months?
The reason I ask, I have seen stock trout start acting as if they have been there for years only after 5-7 days. Then I have seen others trout be dumb as snot even 6 months after stocking.
Do you consider finglering stocking program trout to be wild once they reach maturity? Seems they have lived the life of a wild on and usually act as a wild one.
Just been pondering on this issue, and wanted to know what you guess viewed as a wild/stock trout.
If is stocked, and lives the life of a wild trout what do you call it?
Also is a holdover refered to as a normal 9-15" stock trout or is it a fingerling? |
