I know that some won't approve of the images here, but sometimes you just have to eat them.
A long time fishing buddy and I went to Central Nevada and Eastern California last fall for a short fishing trip. We caught Lahontan cutthroat trout. The season is a little different out there and late November is _in season_. So you know. We caught lots of them b/c in that fishery they're very aggressive. They're also big! Minimum size is 18". We only kept one for eating and because we were camping, we decided that we could live off the fat of the land. Its also a healthy fishery w/ light pressure. Also, so you know.

It's definitely worth the trip!
