New York's rivers could be a boost to tourism
New York's rivers could be a boost to tourism
New York state has two great natural resources in the Salmon River and the Delaware River systems. Yet they do not utilize them the way they should.
Low water flows during the prime fishing season have limited the number of fishermen using these rivers. It has estimated that $30 million could be spent on fishing, etc., during the prime season on the Delaware River system alone.
Workers and retirees have money to spend on fishing these natural resources. Let the water flow and let the people come from all over the U.S. to spend their money in New York state.
It's time for New York to wise up and use these natural resources (on these dam-controlled rivers) to let the water flow.
