The NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife, has published the fall trout stocking schedule for 2007.

It looks like they're planning on stocking, fewer but larger fish, like they did in 2006. Mostly 2 year-olds with a sprinkling of a few larger fish.

You don't have to "follow the trucks". My recollection of the Ramapo in the autumn of 2006, is that the first week-end was a bit of a disappointment, (even to the bait guys). After that, trout were being caught on just about any fall or mild winter day.
