Just got a call from a friend of mine and it looks like I'll be spending the second week of July up in Maine at his place on Popham Beach. I usually do a bit of salt water fishing at the mouth of the Kennebec River up there without much luck, but this year I've got a full week and I'd like to take a little side trip and hit some fresh water(pun intended). I'd like to try to keep the driving down to say 2-3 hours from Bath. I'd like to hit a nice Brook trout stream with the potential for maybe a LLS, and I'll also have my fully rigged fishing kayak with me, so I can do the pond thing as well. If you've got any suggestions, post them up or send me a PM. I'll probably stop in the Kennebec Angler in Bath and ask for some advice when I get there, but the more planning the better the experience usually is. Thanks in advance.
