rod & line selection

Suppose you had two fast-action 5wt rods that you were taking on a guided float on the WB/MS. One is an entry level rod and the other, a slightly longer premium rod. In my particular case, its a Sage FLi and an XP. The FLi is 8'6" and the XP is 9 feet long.

Now suppose you have two identical reels with three spools of 5wt line to choose from: SA floating WF, SA floating DT, and a Teeny Basic Sink (20 ft sink tip/40 ft level floating).

Given the above equipment, type of water, and the fact that you're fishing from the boat, which rod/line setup would you use for fishing streamers, which one would you use for fishing dries and emergers, and why?

Also, would you consider a 4wt XP over the 5wt FLi (both 8'6") if it meant better casting performance in this situation?
