Size 4 Teeny nymph the irony

Well I just watched the tying the teeny double nymph and found the video to very informative. For those of you that are not aware Jim Teeny has been fishing NOTHING but his Teeny nymph for the past 20+ years. He has taken many large Trout around the world on this nymph.

He mentions in his video the the most effective size for this fly is a size 4. I belive he did not mention effective colors. What I would like to find out is if anyone has fished this fly in the Great Lakes area. If so are the particular colors that are more effective a certain times? I first heard about this nymph from rford after a trip he made to the SR he met an angler that exclusively fishes the teeny nyph and only in pink on the SR.

I also read an article that mentioned Jims largest brown ever taken on a fly was 20+ and was taken on a ****** teeny nymph.
