Just made my first few glass bead caddis larva patterns. See attached pic. Used chartruese beads on an emerger hook with Olive Hare's Ear color dubbing between segments. For the head I used a tiny bit of March Brown color dubbing. I used a dubbing brush to pick out the dubbing in between all segments to represent the gills. Can you tell me what looks right/wrong? I have the feeling that the last bead is too far down the hook shank and might result in a weak hookup. Do the proportions look right? |
