Post WB Gage at Hancock Data

This post is not intended to be antagonistic or controversial. The following data is provided for each individual to interpret for themselves. This data is factual and is based on information collected by the USGS stream gage on the West Branch Delaware River at Hancock, NY. The accuracy of this data is unknown.

The period of record is 5/24/04 thru 6/23/04.
Total days- 31
Total hours- 744

Days where the water temp reached 70.3°(21.3°C) or higher- 5
Hours where the water temp reached 70.3°(21.3°C) or higher- 23.5
Percentage of hours where the water temp reached 70.3°(21.3°C) or higher- 3.2%

The point where trout become overly stressed is based on many factors including water temp, DO content, and chemical makeup of the water. The point where trout become overly stressed varies among trout species, size and condition of trout, and individual trout.

In this post, I make no personal comment about what this information means. It is simply provided for each individual to interpret for themselves. -Mark Griffin
