If you get a chance you could always sit-in on the tying demos at Shannon's in Califon. I'm sure they would be willing to sit with you and teach you a few things. Plus they have a great selection of tying junk. Everything you need plus things you didn't know you needed till you see it in front of you. Will you ever use all of it? Nope but it still looks nice next to your tying area.
