Back Hand Hook sets

Kind of a weird topic but I have been driven nuts by this problem forever.
What do you guys do when the trout takes your fly in a position when your forced to make a backhand hookset? This situation occurs when as a righty you are faced with a current going from right to left. This especially happens on the deleware to me since your almost always fishing down and across so naturally the hookset has to be to your left shoulder unless you are castly directly downstream.

Do you just go with the backhand? Do you have a different technique for these sorts of hook set positions? I literally was considering setting the hook left handed saturday afternoon when I had missed 7 fish in a row on a backhand hookset. Its driving me nuts I need help haha
