I am generally up early every morning and after checking the over night posts I always have some work to do or will tie flies, but I always have the TV on. You can watch or listen to Sports Center just so long before they repeat the program over and over again.
I will put in a fly fishing or tying DVD or VHF just to listen to or watch. I have a good number of VHF tapes that I saved TV fly fishing shows that was on OLN or ESPN2.
This morning was no different I just pulled out a tape at random which had the showing date of March 29, 2003 to May 18, 2003 and slipped it into the VCR. It was a 2002 show (filmed in June 2001) on ESPN2 Great Outdoors that highlighted fishing the Delaware River in the spring. The guide for the shows host was Lee Hartman, Indian Springs Fly Fishing.
What caught my eye were the very nice June flow rates on the Main Stem that year. I Am not a fan of fishing big water, but you can’t help watching that episode and want to give it a try.
The health of the Browns and Bows were really nice.
You don’t see many fly fishing shows on TV any more.
The majority of taped shows I have are TUTV with Tim Linehan, I liked that show and the different streams he visited. Just glad to see TU is bringing back another show called On the Rise, and as posted on here, will feature the Musky with NEFF’s own Rusty Spinner. So some early morning in the future I’ll have a bootleg / pirated tape of Rusty showing me all the hot spots on the Musky.
