I went over to fish the Amawalk yesterday morning. It was my first time fishing there so I really didn't know what to expect. I fished all of the pools below the falls to a bit past the bridge. Its a beautiful little river but I had no luck at all. I didn't see any signs of fish and there weren't any other fisherman in sight. Although, I did do a quick seine of the river near the bridge which turned up a ton of mayfly nymphs (don't ask me what kind).

If anyone has any info about this area I would really appreciate any insight as to how best to fish it or if there are any issues there you know of. Heard something about a chlorine spill a few years ago.
