Since this subject recently came up in another thread, and I believe it is an important topic, let me start a new thread specifically on this subject.
I could not find a current study that presents the status of didimo presence on Upper Delaware Rivers. For folks like myself, that fish these rivers frequently, are some portions currently free of this plant, and other areas known to be contaminated?
Additionally, what is known about effective methods to prevent the spread of this plant, and are local flyshops alerting their customers about what they can do?
As a last point, it is important to keep this discussion based on science, not what prople feel...so I would urge any respondants to this thread to provide the basis fo their information (NYS DEC, etc.)
