I am excited to learn from various community members as I am new to the field. I thank my Dad who got me into flyfishing, because after seeing his pictures from Yellowstone and hearing some great stories, sparked an interest in picking a rod and reel, taking a TU course, reading on the subject and finally getting out and putting knowledge to use.

I have been out fishing since opening day and I have yet to see another female. I have been yelled at and told to go home and bake a cake once on the Ramapo, but have found some nice people on the Saddle River which have made my time enjoyable.

I write because I hope that there are women who enjoy this sport and wish to share their thoughts and experiences too.
